How it works
We are proposing a community of 34 small, modular homes on a beautiful, forested 10 acre lot on Bowen Island. Our community members will own their homes while renting the site on which they reside.
The cost of this combined homeownership / land lease is similar to the carrying costs of buying a home for $400,000.
Our goal is to provide long-term affordable housing in a healthy, and environmentally conscious way.
Why it’s great: Westside Village will foster community growth & offer a unique way into the housing market for families and individuals. We hope to strengthen the fibre of our island community by offering a solution to an increasingly unaffordable and unstable market for renters and prospective homeowners.
Who else is excited about the creation of Westside Village?
